Meredith Fein Lichtenberg, the director of A Mother Is Born, is a certified childbirth and parenting educator, and has been on the Board of Directors of the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York since 2004. A former employment lawyer and nonfiction writer, her focus is women's changing identities through the childbirth years. Meredith lives in Manhattan with her husband, son and daughter.
